"After 40 years of coaching football, I have announced my retirement. Next football season will be the first time since 1966 that I will not be part of a football team! What will I do? Not sure! I do know that over the 40 years that I've coached, I have always asked players to give 100%.
As a coach, I have been able to give 100% of myself. I have put football in front of family and friends. I can't do that any more. Players deserve the best that a coach can offer! I found out this season, that there were times that I could not do what I have done in the past!
I'd like to thank all of you at Cascade for giving me the opportunity to coach at a truly great school. We have accomplished many of the goals that I had when I arrived. Our Vision needs to continue on. Our coaching staff knows what needs to happen in the future and they will continue the Vision and stay the course, if given the opportunity. I support Coach Bennett in his quest to take over the Cascade Family and carry on the Vision!
1980 - the first ... 2015 - Not the Last!!"
Forever a Cougar,
